How does the team request an absence?
From the app or the web: they choose the type and length and leave a comment, with a certificate if they have one. An admin accepts or rejects it and the person gets the answer.
Can management record an absence for someone else?
Yes. What an admin records is accepted on the spot, and if the absence is someone else's, they are told.
How does Edena rank the candidates?
Those free for all the sessions and those on duty come first. Among them, those who already teach the group and those who have covered least this month. The decision is always yours.
Can a whole absence be covered at once?
Yes. You choose a person and they cover every session up to the last day; those that already had a substitute do not change. For long-term leave, you can change the subject's teacher for as long as it lasts, and past sessions keep whoever taught them.
Who can see the reason for an absence?
The person themselves and whoever reviews absences. Notifications only name the days, and the certificate stays out of reach of the rest of the team.
What happens if an absence is withdrawn or its dates change?
Edena tells whoever arranges cover about the new gaps and about what was arranged for days no longer needed. The affected sessions are flagged for review.
What are duty hours?
The hours of the week when a person is available to cover absences. They are set on their record, with dates if they are temporary, and whoever is on duty comes first when looking for a substitute.
Which plan includes absences?
Absences are part of the tracking module, together with clock-in. In schools you turn it on over the base platform. In academies it comes with the Communication Pack and the Academy 360 Pack.
